lyrics

SQUARE METAL NAILS
Square metal nails raining down on my grave
Still not the weather that’s upsetting me today
A thought, a fragrance that I thought had gone away
Not exactly clever poetry just trying to relate
Share my secrets trying to blend in, common themes like love were trying to stay close to.
It’s an anger that I’m fighting or a hunger that I’m chasing, wrap my arms around the death that is embracing.
Fearless the notion that you could know, if and how you’ll gasp when your lover drops the wardrobe.
All could be a ruse
I’m screaming in my head and even then
my hands are shaking hammer on the night stand
Falling forward seems unlikely so unfitting so unlike me
The path behind is a comfort I’m residing
Cradle my ego, color me blind, cast me in feathers and force me to fly
Feed me a new life, a brand new design, sew me right next to the next fool in line
All could be a ruse
Square metal nails
